NOTES
Used as a starting material for the synthesis numerous plasticizers.
Used as a defoaming agent for industrial drilling fluids. Maintains fluid consistency and defoams drilling muds.
Esters of 2-ethylhexanol are far more commonly used in the personal care industry for their emollient properties in lotions, creams, and sunscreens.
2-Ethylhexanol is also a widely used solvent because of it's low volatility.
This material is also offered in reagent grade for laboratory testing and analysis.
