Westchester’s newest gallery, Mahlstedt Gallery, is now operating in the same building as Parchem - fine & specialty chemicals marketing technology, a leading global supplier of specialty chemicals headquartered in New Rochelle.
The Mahlstedt Gallery in New Rochelle is excited to present Shadow Odyssey. This group exhibition consists of original works by over ten contemporary artists working in a variety of styles and using varied media including painting, drawing, manipulated digital photography, and sculpture. The show has been curated to focus on the idea of the personal journey, whether it be cerebral, spiritual, or physical. Each artist approaches the subject individually, allowing for an exceptionally unique and interesting dialogue between the works. The diversity of perception displayed by the artists is purposeful, allowing each viewer the opportunity to take a visual journey of their own.
The owners of Parchem, Ephraim and Oshi Rabin, have traveled the world but have chosen New Rochelle as home for their family, work and art. "We’ve made a commitment to position New Rochelle as a mecca to showcase artists across various spectrums," said Oshi Rabin, Executive Director of the Mahlstedt Gallery.
This exhibition will run from May 1st through May 24th with an opening reception and celebration on Thursday, May 1st from 6 to 9pm.
