This stearic acid belongs in the "double pressed" classification of commercial stearic acids. Emersol 120 offers umatched color stability, resistance to rancidity and excellent oxidation stability. It is the best buy for general uses which do not require the low Iodine value and premium quality of Emersol 132 NF. For certain cosmetic products, such as creams, Emersol 120 may be preferred over triple-pressed acids because it imparts a slightly softer texture.
